The Boat That Taught Buoyancy

The boat build started as a woodworking exercise and turned into the clearest physics lesson we have taught yet.

Two hulls sank before she worked out, on her own, why the shape of the third one floated. We filmed the sanding session below because the concentration on her face said more than our notes could.

No test could measure what that afternoon taught about displacement, patience, and rebuilding after a failed attempt.
